Membership in CCRA is open to all shorthand reporters, however, Professional Membership is limited to those members who have met certain certification standards. The RPR certification administered by NCRA requires members to pass a written exam, have ninty five percent (95%) accuracy, and be able to capture and converting the spoken word at speeds of 180-225 words per minute. Membership is required for RPR certification too so that all RPR reporters must meet the continuing education requirements of NCRA.
